Russian Dressing

Hard to find on supermarket shelves, this tangy and slightly spicy homemade Russian Dressing is the perfect sauce for a seriously delicious Reuben sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp onion finely chopped
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 4 tsp horseradish sauce
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp sweet paprika
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • If you have a mortar and pestle, mash the chopped onion until it forms a paste. You can also use a heavy knife to mince and mash the onion.
  • Add the onion paste to a small bowel and add the rest of the ingredients.
  • Whisk together until every ingredient is mixed in then season with the salt.
  • This dressing will last for up to two weeks in the refrigerator.
