Ingredients

  • ½ cup popping corn kernels
  • 1 tbsp oil popcorn or canola oil
  • 2 tsp popcorn salt optional

Instructions

  • Preheat your griddle to medium-high heat on one side. Leave the other side of the griddle off.
  • Place the oil on the griddle top, then add the popcorn kernels on top. Mix with a spatula until all of the kernels are well-coated in the oil.
  • Cover the kernels with a melting dome (or metal bowl) and listen for them to start popping.
  • Once they start popping, gently move the dome around and keep the kernels moving until the popping slows to every 1 to 2 seconds.
  • Move the dome to the cool side of the griddle, remove, then season the popcorn to your liking and enjoy!
