- ½ cup popping corn kernels
- 1 tbsp oil popcorn or canola oil
- 2 tsp popcorn salt optional
Preheat your griddle to medium-high heat on one side. Leave the other side of the griddle off.
Place the oil on the griddle top, then add the popcorn kernels on top. Mix with a spatula until all of the kernels are well-coated in the oil.
Cover the kernels with a melting dome (or metal bowl) and listen for them to start popping.
Once they start popping, gently move the dome around and keep the kernels moving until the popping slows to every 1 to 2 seconds.
Move the dome to the cool side of the griddle, remove, then season the popcorn to your liking and enjoy!
