Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago Illinois, Summer nights were often spent in the backyard while my dad tended the grill. He made what I thought were the best ribs I've had in my entire life. Well, that was until I went to work for a major grill manufacturer and received my first pellet grill as a job perk. I've been cooking "real" BBQ low and slow for my friends and family ever since, including the best ribs I've ever had (sorry dad). My other passions include God, family, archery, and of course, writing. I look forward to sharing my passions with you and experimenting with all kinds of outdoor cooking gadgets in pursuit of the best flavors making food over fire and smoke can deliver.
